Head of Network Operations & Transformation - MTN

Mohamed Salah has a lot of significant Network, IT/Digital Operations and Managed Services professional experiences for more than 22 years with long multinational exposure supporting network operators and vendors including MTN, Vodafone, Etisalat, Huawei, and Zain and working in Middle East and African counties including South Africa, UAE, Egypt, KSA, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Chad and supported almost 40 overseas countries.

He Has a wide experience of managing large networks including GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G technologies including: RAN, CS&PS, TX&IPBB, IT/Digital, Passive Infrastructure, and Datacenters along with the Managed Services projects establishment , delivery and transformation in different countries including tools, automation, ML/AI, processes and OPEX optimization with long experience of operation and maintenance of Mobile Networks in different operators and vendors with size of 7000+ Network elements and full turnkey projects, new network rollout and complete network swap projects in 3 different countries.

He managed and delivered the managed services transformation program the whole MTN Group which included the network KPIs, SLAs, process KPIs, customer experience improvement, tools, automation, ML/AI, service credit model, pricing model and OPEX savings, and this included South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Benin, Congo, Zambia, South Sudan, Rwanda, eSwatini, Cote d’Ivoire, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Sudan.

He successfully managed the whole Managed Services tender execution of very large telecom projects in 26 different countries including: South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, UAE, KSA, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Mali, Cameroon, Congo, Rwanda, Zambia, Benin, Guinea Conakry, Bissau, Liberia, Sudan, South Sudan, eSwatini, Uganda, Afghanistan, Cote D’Ivoire, Rwanda and Chad
